Mission Statement
To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.
Yarm District Lions and all Lions Clubs of the British Isles are part of Lions Clubs International, the largest membership-based service organisation in the world.
Our 1.4 million members in 49,800 clubs are serving in 208 countries and geographic areas. Since 1917, Lions have improved health and well-being, strengthened communities and supported those in need, locally and globally.
At Lions Clubs International our motto is "We Serve." You can read Lions' Purposes and Ethics via our Home page button.
Yarm District Lions Club was founded in 1992 and supports charities, community groups, sports clubs and individuals in Yarm and the surrounding area, which includes Stockton, Billingham, Thornaby, Ingleby Barwick, Egglescliffe and Eaglescliffe.
The Club works closely with other nearby Lions clubs in Darlington, Barnard Castle, Sunderland, Peterlee and Consett on fundraising and to raise awareness of the positive impact of Lions clubs on their communities.
